Hello everyone! I’m Christophe, I was born in Leuven, Belgium in 1987 and I just finished my master in law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Among the things I like: hiking, playing squash, (latin) music, watching a movie once in a while, wine tasting, just hanging out with friends.
Anyways, before getting a permanent job, I decided to take a break together with Jolien to travel. Choosing where to go was rather easy. It’s been years I’ve been dreaming about travelling to South America. However, I have some more dreams up my sleeve: learn to surf, see Machu Picchu, do trekkings, visit Jolien’s host family in the US, …
Whatever of those things will happen, only time (and budget!) will tell!
Born in Leuven, Belgium in 1987. Got infected by the travelbug when roadtrippin’ in the USA with the parents. Five years later I went back, this time to stay for 10 months. This dream was made possible through AFS. This is why our blog will be partly written in English.
I’ve seen a bit of the world, but South America has remained undiscovered so far. I can’t wait to go hiking in Torres del Paine in Argentina, walk all the way up to Machu Picchu in Peru and do the jungle hike to reach the Ciudad Perdida in Colombia. Other than that I hope to learn some Spanish, see lots of wildlife, and finish the trip at my second home in Delavan, WI (USA), to see my host family again!
When I’m not planning my next trip, I like to work out, play some soccer or just watch sports. If time permits I hope to become a decent photographer, but I assume I’ll get plenty of practice in South America.
Now lets hope budget and faith will work with us 🙂
